Why do we only accept e-transfers for payment?

Simple answer is fraud. The merchant accepts all the risks for fraudulent purchases and actually loses more than the purchase price. Credit card companies dont refund the percentage they charge on the original charge and additionally charge a 'chargeback fee' even though they approved the purchase to begin with. Given that we keep prices low , this is not a risk we are willing to accept.

When do you ship?

We ship tubers when the weather has warmed up enough to allow for a successful shipment and all risk of the tubers freezing has passed. Shipments are made via Canada Post Express which uses truck and air services to ship across the country. This means that weather plays a factor in the health of your tubers. Typically this means that shipments begin in mid-late May of each year to ensure that you receive healthy and viable tubers.

What happened to my cart?

The system does not remove items from inventory at time of adding to the cart. This means that the cart is cleared after a period of 7 days has passed to ensure that our inventory system does not reserve items for abandoned carts. If an order has not been completed (or finalized) then we assume you were only 'shopping around' and we clear the cart to allow those individuals who wish to finalize an order , that the inventory is available.

You can always create a new cart when you are ready to order.

I've misplaced my order list, how do I see what I ordered?

By entering the email address that you used when you first ordered some product, the resulting page will display a button that says "Open Orders" along the right hand side of the menu bar. That link will display your open order until such a time as the order has been shipped.

Any additional orders will also be shown , if you made more than one order.

What platform do you use , and can we use it as well to sell our tubers?

This is an internally created website, the bossman has a long history in IT, and felt that the 'cookie cutter' platforms create websites that basically spy on you the customer, ie: bloatware, inability to provide backwards compatibility, and lack privacy for both you the customer and us.

We are developing a new system which will allow smaller vendors to incoporate their inventory into our system, but this system isnt slated for release until 2027.

If you have a large number of tubers available, we can offer them through our current website, which allows you to sell your tubers without the costs and time dealing with customer support, websites, credit card issues, and shipping. Create an account and use our contact form to talk to us about this program. Note: This is for tubers only, we do not accept cuttings or seeds in this program.

Do we offer bulk purchases?

Bulk purchases (same variety qty:25+), can be accomodated. Again, create an account with us , then use the contact form to begin the discussion.

Do you refund orders prior to shipping?

So, yes and no. If the order has been placed within 7 days of request for refund, certainly we will refund the order (minus $2 for bank fees) , if the order was placed over 7 days ago, then no we do not refund the purchase. The order has had the inventory removed from the website, and as such, no other customers could have ordered the product.

How do I make a claim for defective tubers?

It doesnt happen often, but it can happen. Begin by taking a photo of the tuber, and send it to us. Our customer service dept., will review the claim and then discuss with you if a replacement tuber is the answer , or a refund. In cases , we will also provide an account credit. We rectify problems quickly. We like happy customers.
